When Family Life Feels Difficult

Families go through seasons of stress, change, and uncertainty. Sometimes communication breaks down, tensions build, or loved ones begin to feel disconnected from one another.

You may be navigating parenting challenges, caregiving responsibilities, major life transitions, grief, conflict, or the impact of mental health concerns within the family system.

When everyone is carrying something different, it can become difficult to understand one another or find a way forward together.

Family counselling creates a space where each person can be heard, understood, and supported. Together, we'll explore patterns, strengthen communication, and build healthier ways of relating that support both individual wellbeing and family connection.

Meet Your Therapist

Abim is the founder of The Healing Vault and works with women, couples, caregivers, and families who are ready for meaningful, lasting change. Her approach is grounded, evidence-based, and deeply human — offering clarity and direction without judgment or jargon.

Clients often describe Abim as calm, direct, and deeply attuned. She brings experience across corporate, community, hospital, and family systems work, with specialized expertise in burnout, caregiver stress, ambiguous grief, and supporting parents of adult children with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

At the heart of her work is a belief that therapy should both support and empower. Family counselling offers an opportunity to better understand one another, strengthen relationships, and create healthier patterns that endure beyond the therapy room.

A Steady Place to Reconnect

If your family is ready to strengthen connection and move forward with greater understanding, family counselling can be a meaningful place to begin.
